Feel like laughing this morning? Well then, we’ve got the perfect story for you. It seems that someone, somewhere, had a little slip up, and have managed to put the “old” iPad New York Times promotional video back up. You remember the video, right? It’s the one that caused all that fuss about Flash working on the iPad, and then basically caused the avalanche that followed suit when Apple and company revealed that Flash wouldn’t be working on their tablet.
For you conspiracy theorists out there, we’ll go ahead and go along with your ideas for a moment. Considering all this press that has been swirling around as of recent, maybe it was all a ploy from Apple and Flash to get the video and web animation platform to suddenly have a “debut” on the tablet. If that is the case, Steve Jobs should probably earn a an Academy Award here soon. His rants and admonishment of the platform have been legendary over the last couple weeks, and we applaud him.
However, we should probably be real about this. While living a dream is all well and good for some occasions, this probably isn’t one of those occasions. So, what does this mean? Well, someone probably just made a mistake. We’re guessing the old video was probably still archived somewhere, and that one has accidentally slipped out. Sure, it’ll raise some people’s feathers, but in the end it’ll just be a mistake, and that’s it. Nothing really major. What do you think, though? Is this a sign of a change coming?
