Vers Wood Casing Gives Your iPad the Look of Old-Fashioned Class
Or, as some people like to call it, wood. That’s right. What you’re looking at is a hand-crafted wood case for the iPad, made by Vers. Sure, the majority of our other accessories have been on, shall we say, the normal side of things, but we couldn’t resist showing this off to all of you. After all, we’re a large voice in the whole “options” department, so we’d be remiss if we didn’t at least give you the chance to feast your eyes on this thing. And yes. That’s a kickstand.

A kickstand was one of those rumors swirling around regarding the iPad’s features, leading up to the official announcement. We found out that Apple and company wouldn’t be including one on the device, so apparently it became a necessity for other companies to do it. After all, you’re not always going to want to hold the tablet in your hands, right? Don’t forget that the black bezel disappears as well, but considering that that’s a pretty much iconic aesthetic of Apple, we’re not sure that’s something you should so hastily hide away.
The Vers case is handcrafted from hardwood, and also bamboo. But it’s also reinforced with steel to give your iPad that little bit of an edge in the safety department. From the picture, you can see that there’s a hole cut away so that you can still access the home key; but the 30-pin connector, and volume rockers are also accessible. And for easy installation and removal, it’s loaded onto the tablet from the top. So, the big question: how much does it cost? That’s a hard $80, and it will be up for preorder here soon. You could always wait until the 12th, and preorder your iPad and the case at the same time!
