When it comes to accessories, there’s a lot to choose from. And most of them, for all intents and purposes, do the same thing as the rest of them. So how do you choose? We find that trying out a few of the options works best, and really weighing out your options. Companies, for example, like SFBags are trying to give you everything you need, but also trying to make it look stylish. And when it comes to the Smart Case, caught up within the WaterField line of products, they’ve succeeded.

As you can see from the picture, the case itself looks pretty run-of-the-mill. Simple enough that someone may think it’s just another simple slip-case, but there’s more going on here than just a simple accessory. Unlike other padded cases, the Smart Case offers up multi-layered interiors, and comes with a high-impact, rigid insert. If that’s not enough for you, it’s also got an Ultrasuede scratch-free liner, so that your shiny new tablet doesn’t get all messed up while inside the case. The case itself is under an inch thin, but the inside is also padded to make sure that the tablet doesn’t get jostled around while inside.

On a purely aesthetic approach, the case itself doesn’t have any exposed stitching, and comes in a lofty six different colors. There’s also a low-profile pocket so that you can put your cables in there. As of this writing, the Smart Cases are available for pre-order, and are scheduled to ship within three weeks of the iPad’s availability date of April 3rd. It’ll cost you $59 for the Smart Case, so hopefully you’ve got a little bit saved up for a high-profile accessory.
